Learning Curve

Glide is a wonderful tool, with a relatively low learning curve for an app builder. There are a few video guides on the website as well to help you get started building something if you have any trouble, as well. KEEP IN MIND, that most of the Glide Templates screenshots you'll see above aren't super relevant - but I would absolutely check out the template with the button below, as a lot of them have video guides that show more on how the template functions.

Features

- Create accessible mobile apps, and web apps as well (on the paid plan) - although you cannot publish your mobile builds to the app store - but you can publish to custom domains - You can share your apps via QR codes or URLs, and download them directly to mobile devices, which can be a workaround to publishing on the app store! - Use a Google Sheet as your application backend, with automatic updates if any data is changed on either the sheet or the app - Create maps, gather signatures, have user logins via email, and even limit users to certain whitelists if you're on the Private Pro plan - Publish to a custom domain (on the paid plan)

Limitations

Glide is a relatively custom builder, but it's very much meant for collecting, storing, organizing, and displaying data from a Google Sheet backend. You're not going to be able to build anything you want on it, but if your application is remotely data-focused, Glide might be the perfect tool for you. Glide is also technically just a web app builder - and while the web apps it creates can be downloaded to mobile devices relatively easily, you're not going to be able to upload anything to the app store with this tool.

Pricing

For most people, if you don't need a custom domain, and you just want a simple mobile app - you can achieve everything you want on the free version. However, if you need a desktop or tablet view for your app, or if you need more than 500 rows of data, you'll need to purchase the Pro plan which starts at $32 dollars per month.
